August 6,1945 at 2:45 a.m. United States B-29 bomber dropped the world's first deployed atomic bomb over the a Japanese city called Hiroshima. A different B-29 bomber later dropped another atomic bomb of Nagasaki on August 9,1945.

The Bomb
On August 6,1945 at 2:45 a.m. this bomb nicknamed "little boy" was dropped over the Japanese city of Hiroshima it was the first nuclear bomb to ever be deployed. This bomb weighed about 9,000 pounds and had an explosive force equal to 20,000 tons of TNT. The bomb killed 70,000-80,000 immediately and it injured another 70,000 others. In total the bomb killed about 150,000 people. The bomb detonated in about 1/10,000 of a second humans nervous system takes 1/30 of a second to register so there blood would have evaporated before they could even feel anything these were the lucky people others who were farther suffered from burns and radiation poisoning. The reason that it was built was to end World War 2.

The Aftermath
The Aftermath of the war was terrible hundreds of thousands of people were killed 70% of the city was destroyed. From the radiation many people started to get cancers and die.
